Anti-Japan Wall @ The Great Wall

Nongovernmental Photo Exhibition Featuring On Anti-Japan War Relics

    Preliminary

China Great Wall, ranging thousands of miles away, one of the most magnificent and enduring architectures in the history of human civilization, has long been recognized as the most important symbol of the Nation. It was constructed time and again by dynasties and has served for military purpose as major defense works since the Warring States Period of China history.

During 30s-40s of the last century, this ancient architecture witnessed the history of the grand and solemn anti-invasion war against Japan. On January 1st, 1933, the first anti-Japan fight broke out at ShanHai Pass, since which moment till the following 12 years later, the Grand vein of the nation had undergone wounds, hurts, pains, sufferings, agonies, and wraths of millions of Chinese people.

The Great Wall Post, the nongovernmental volunteer community devoting to the Great Wall protection and preservation, in which there are people from diverse backgrounds, like government employees, students, teachers, retired editors, journalists, IT engineers and others, have been searching for the Great Wall historical significance, especially for the history of the resistance war against Japan. For years they hike among mountains, visit countryside, clarify misinformation and explore relics, attempting to discover true stories of that solemn and stirring decade. Today, the Great Wall Post makes debut of this photo exhibition featuring on memorization Anti-Japan War @ The Great Wall, a large collection of images from various sources of the Great Wall in war time and in recent years, inviting you a "Great Wall Journey" transcending time and space.
